Roberto Romeo is born in Spain. He has done all his studies in Brussels. After his art studies, he comes in contact with the theatre where he does all kind of jobs, from decorator to stage Manager, but also as an actor in the following Theatres: Théâtre de l’Esprit Frappeur, Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, Espace Pierre Cardin (Paris). In parallel, he paints and exhibits in Brussels, Antwerp, Milan, Rome, Monaco and Madrid. He produces several posters for the following Theatres: Théâtre de l’Ancre (Charleroi), le Théâtre National and le Théâtre de Poche (Brussels). In Alicante (Spain), his posters have received different prices. He has also designed record sleeves (Front 242). From 1986 to 2003, he moves to Spain. In 1994, he produces his first short film: “Todas son Iguales”. In 1995, he produces “Esperanza & Sardinas”, feature film that was selected at the International Film Festival of San Sebastian. Afterwards, this feature film has been selected in other Film Festivals like London, Manchester, La Havana, Potsdam or Biarritz. From 2000 to 2003, he produces two Arrabal: “The Architect and the Emperor of Assyria” and adapts to the Theatre “Viva la muerte” (Alicante, Bilbao, Madrid). His computer made works are selected by the Institute Gil Albert of Alicante for the meeting of Contemporary Art. Back in Belgium, he realizes music clips for African singers and exhibits his work in Brussels and Louvain-la-Neuve. In 2016, he realizes the documentary film “Tous Ensemble” (All Together) produced by the VIDEP and the House of World Cultures of Molenbeek..
