M Film Festival is an international film festival, exclusively dedicated to an one-minute films, including credits, with open competition to all countries and organized by Orfeão de Matosinhos.

Awards

    1. The duration of the film cannot exceed 60 seconds including the final credits.
    2. Movies must have subtitles in English, except for films spoken in Portuguese.
    3. The theme is free except defamatory, threatening, pornographic, racist, ethnically offensive, or otherwise violating Portuguese law. That is, film that are in any way inappropriate are banned.
    4. Only accept films produced from 2017.
    5. Can participate filmmakers of any age or nationality and there are no limits on the number of films you can submit.
    6. Copyright are the sole responsibility of its author.
    a) Each participant will ensure that the films are his/her own, taking the responsibility for the content of the movie and that the movie does not infringe any copyright, related rights or industrial property rights of any third party.
    b) In case of including people, each participant guarantees to have authorization of the same for their exhibition, being responsible for any violation of the right to the image, the reserve of the intimate life and others.

    8. There is a previous selection of the submitted films.
    9. Advertising material of film should be provided to promotional activities. Selected films may be part of non-commercial shows/extensions in the promotion of the Festival. Any doubts or questions that may arise will be clarified or resolved by the Organizing Committee.
    10. Orfeão de Matosinhos will not pay exhibition rights for the selected films. So, there will be no financial compensation for the screening of the selected films.
    11. Selected films will be screening in MP4 format.
    12. The organization will communicate by email to all participants the selected films for the competition.
    13. The application deadline will be 16th May 2019 until 11.59 PM (GMT).
    14. The screening of the films will take place on May 31st, 2019 at 09.30 PM (GMT), at Orfeão de Matosinhos headquarters and with free admission.
    15. The organization doesn’t pay for travel, accommodation, meals or other expenses associated with travel of participants. That is, if the participants wish to be present at the M Film Festival 2019, they will be entirely responsible for all costs associated..
