Taghreed, a 14-year-old Muslim girl experiences the onset of puberty, meaning she must begin wearing a full black Niqab. When her tormentor at school swipes her jacket, a case of mistaken identity exposes the perversity of the bully's father.
Taghreed is a young Muslim Saudi girl who is uncomfortable with her culture's religious constraints, so she always wears her favorite grey jacket on top of her Abaya and shivers at the thought of wearing a face cover (Niqab). When she gets her first period, she hides the bleeding from her family, then sneaks into her older sister’s room to steal sanitary pads. Taghreed’s suffering does not stop at this point, but it reaches the sexual harassment by the father of one of her classmates. She is trying to stop him in every possible way.
