Mamadou Lamine Seck was born on February 3rd of year 1969 in Dakar after the first edition of the Festival of African arts organized 3 years before in the Senegalese capital. Seck grows up in this artistic atmosphere. In his early childhood he liked telling stories by the drawing what in fact was a family predisposition. His dream to become a director already took shape. After graduating from high school, joins the English department of UCAD university. At the end of the freshman year he resolved to leave the faculty and go making movie. He wrote the script "WIndy City blues" and presented to the school of Columbia College Chicago's cinema to apply for a scholarship. He was granted with a partial scholarship. But unfortunately he was not able to find the additional the cost of the very expensive tuition fees and has to give up this possibility. With courage Seck pursues its dream and learn by practice as trainee director assistant, production assistant,... In 2005 He completed successfully a training course in photography of the school Sun Hi-tech 3 Africa. Because of lack of production Seck kept on writing script. Few years ago, encouraged by the last Senegalese filmmaker Alhamdou Sy, he resolved to make his own movie. With the help of friends he started shooting Almadies Blues as producer director, a docudrama movie which shows the hard living of small people beside luxurious residences in the district rich of Almadies. In 2017 Seck directed and coproduced his first movie entitled shot DJIBRIL in homage to the late filmmaker Mambety. This movie was presented to the 39th festival of Clermont-Ferrand and in competition to the 38th Durban International Film Festival..
