João Lucas Pedrosa was born in 1997 in Rio de Janeiro. Graduated in Social Communication - Cinema in PUC-Rio and currently attending Brazilian Grammar and Literature graduation in UNIRIO, he iniciated his path on filmmaking at 13 years old by attending free courses of Oficina Pequeno Cineasta, where he now lectures cinema to children and youngsters. He is director and screenplaywriter of 6 short films, such as "A Brief Story of Cinema", "Dois Rios" and "White Room", winner of Special Mention - Young Session in Corti a Ponte 2016. He's been part of two undergraduate reasearch in both PUC and UNIRIO: "Representation of the priest in brazilian cinema" and "The criticism of Bernardo Carvalho", and writes occasionally to Multiplot! Cinema magazine. He's worked as a producer of the short film "Muriel" and assistant director in "Panoptico" and "1/86", as well as script consultant in "Dalila". His most recent work is the short film "Hangin'"..
