She has done a course of filmmaking from Chitrabani, the pioneer filmmaking institute of Kolkata.
Her debut Short Fiction Film “PARICHAY… The Identity… ”is an Experimental film which is an adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore’s Poem. The Film has screened in Banga Sammelan USA, Atlantic City on 11 July 2010. It is also praised in Kolkata Film Festival, Chitrabani short Film Festival & local festivals of West Bengal & Rotary Clubs. It was screened at Tagore Centre London. Berlin Embassy had also selected the film for future screening.
Jayashri made a Film ‘JEEVANJUDDHA’ for a Durgapur based channel. It is a corporate film based on a Handicapped Achiever. The film was screened several times in channel.
She made Documentary “ PARADISE LOST” based on Kashmir Dal Lake Pollution which was screened on all noted festivals (like KFF, Chitrabani ) of Kolkata & others. It was awarded by UGC (Govt of India) & screened at UGC Prakriti Festival 2011.
Her Documentary “ East Kolkata Wetlands”&“ Dooars Whispers” were also awarded by UGC & screened at Prakriti Festival 2012 & 2013 as well as in many leading Festivals.
Her Documentary “ Puri Heritage Special” was based on the last Debdashi of Puri temple & a heritage village near Puri.
Her Documentary “ Miracle Recycle” is on human ( fallen) hair uses.
Jayashri also has made One Fiction & one Documentary Diploma film sponsored by CHITRABANI.
Debut Feature film “ Take Care.. “
Jayashri finished her Debut Feature Film “TAKE CARE…” based on breast cancer survivor under 30, acted by Paoli Dam, Rajesh Sharma, Biswajit Chakraborty, Pallabi Chatterjee, Saheb Chatterjee, Ramen Roy Choudhury, Debraj Roy, Aloka Ganguly and Madhabi Mukherjee. Story, Screenplay, dialogue & lyrics are also written by Jayashri.
“Take Care…” is already premiered successfully in Sydney Australia followed by the screening in Gold Coast Australia.
