I AM Gulu International FIlm Festival

Gulu International Film Festival is Northern Uganda’s independent film festival that brings together different cultures across all boarders under one stage through films. The 2nd edition will be a 3-days event and will include film screenings, Community Forum, film workshops, School writing competition, Travelling Festival, and a mixture of presentations showcasing the Northern Uganda region’s rich cultural diversity to include traditional dances, music and foods. The festival focuses on promoting the different and diverse cultures around the world through film. The date for this year’s edition of the Gulu International Film Festival is on the 26th to 28th of July 2018 to be held at TAKS Community Art Centre, in Gulu.. .

Awards

    GIFF 2018 AWARDS
    We will be presenting awards to films that will be submitted for competitions at this year’s Gulu International Film Festival. The GIFF Awards is an open door for all independent filmmakers worldwide.
    The jury will award the best independent films through private screenings. We will also provide honourable mentions for filmmakers and notable humanitarians who may not necessarily win but who should be acknowledged for their work. All the annual winners receive the prestigious GIFF Elephant awards in their respective categories. The awards categories will have three separate sections of Local, National and International films.
