FOTOGRAMMA D’ORO SHORT FILM FESTIVAL 50th EDITION

The Federazione Nazionale Cinevideoautori (F.N.C.) (Italy) in collaboration with the cultural association “Proposizione Scenica”, Cinema Multisala Apollo, the Psychoanalytic Laboratory “Vicolo Cicala”, “Sicilian Forks” and the cineclub of Milan “La Decima Musa”, organizes in Messina the 50th edition of “FOTOGRAMMA D’ORO SHORT FILM FESTIVAL”, dedicated to the memory of actor and director Tano Cimarosa, in the 10th anniversary of his death.

Rules of participation: The competition is reserved to short films made in any format by Italian or foreign authors without commercial purpose from 2016 onwards. Each competitor can participate with no more than two (2) works.
Works of all kinds (subjects, documentary, animation), whose length should not exceed 20 minutes and which haven’t been presented in previous editions of Fotogramma d’Oro, may take part. The theme is free. Authors are responsible for their contents. Works carried out in a foreign language must be subtitled in Italian, not to be excluded from the competition.

Film submission:
To attend the Festival, each work should preferably be contained in a file of up to 2GB or on a single DVD.
Files must be sent to the following address: fotorofilmfestival@gmail.com, while DVDs must be enclosed in a proper case in which the title, the original format, the length, the year of production as well as the author’s name and the postal address must be indicated; they must be sent to the following address: FRANCESCO COGLITORE, Contrada CARTESIANO VILLAGGIO SALICE-98154 MESSINA (ITALY).
It's possible to use instead of the previous submission systems, other modes like Festival proposal platforms or using an online transfer file platform such as "WeTransfer" or similar.
In any case the submission must be completed with pictures of the film and the payment of the fee for each film submitted in EUROS or DOLLARS as shown inside the Festival platform. The fee is a partial contribution for secretarial and organization costs. Methods of payment:
A) Bank transfer using the following IBAN: IT87A0329601601000064213494, BIC: FIBKITMM,
payable to FRANCESCO COGLITORE with the following reason for the payment: “Fotoro 2018”, followed by the author’s name. In such a case, a copy of the bank transfer receipt must be inserted into the package or sent via email. In any case, F.N.C. undertakes to issue a regular receipt of the payment.
B) Paypal using: fotorofilmfestival@gmail.com

All competitors must complete and sign, for each work presented, the registration form enclosed into this announcement.
In all case the deadline date for the delivery is Saturday 31st March 2018, without exceptions.
Works that are not in compliance with the requirements will not be selected. F.N.C. members in good standing with the payment of membership dues are exempted from contribution payment; at this reason, members must indicate the film club membership.
Regular works will be selected by a committee that will identify the ones to be submitted to a qualified jury, whose members will be announced later. This jury will award the official prizes, consisting in: Fotogramma d’Oro and a check of euro 500; Fotogramma d’Argento and Fotogramma di Bronzo (Golden Frame, Silver Frame, Bronze Frame). At the jury’s discretion, special prizes may be awarded.
All the material received for the film submission to the Festival will not be returned and will be part of the video library of Fotogramma d’Oro Short Film Festival, to be used for educational purposes, research or study and not for profit.
The artistic direction will publish on the Fotogramma d’Oro website a selection of the participating works using the personal data, information and photos attached to the registration form.
All competitors will be able to know, at any time, the state of the competition by visiting the Festival website, the Facebook page or contacting the Secretariat by e-mail.
Only the winners will be contacted by phone or e-mail.
The opinions expressed by the selection Committee and the Jury are final.
The Festival organization doesn’t assume any liability for any theft, damage or loss of works, while ensuring the utmost care and custody.
Participation in the competition implies unconditional acceptance of this regulation.
The Direction reserves the right to decide on matters not expressly provided for in this regulation.
For unexpected circumstances we reserve the right to change dates, length of time, place and festival programming, with the commitment to give timely information to participants through our media.. .
