    GENERAL RULES

    INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF SHORT FILMS OF SAN MARTÍN DEL REY AURELIO
    CINESAN 2017


    1.- There are two sections in competition: the Official Section and the Asturian Short Films Section.
    2.- In the Official Section any author of any nationality may participate.
    3.- In the Section of Asturian short films will participate works directed by Asturian authors, either filmed in Asturias, or filmed in Asturian language.
    4.-The following awards are established, which will be subject to tax withholdings:

    BEST SHORT FILM AWARD OFFICIAL SECTION 1.000 € + Trophy
    AWARD FOR THE BEST INTERPRETATION 600 € + Trophy
    AWARD FOR THE BEST ASTURIAN SHORT FILM 400 € + Trophy

    5.-The presented short films will be of free subject, of fiction, not exceeding 25 minutes
    6.-The works presented will have been made after September 1, 2016.
    7.-Short films will be presented in Spanish or Asturian. In case of being presented in another language they will be presented with subtitles in Spanish or Asturian.




    8.-Short films (shot in any system) will be presented in digital form through any platform or on DVD by certified mail. The works sent by certified mail will do to the following address:

    9.-The deadline to present the short films ends on September 15, 2017.
    10.-The short films presented must be accompanied by the information of the work: name, surname and DNI or NIE or ID of the author, title, duration, synopsis and technical and artistic file.
    11.- The contestants will be responsible for the non-existence of third party rights of the works presented, as well as any claim for image rights.
    12.-The works on DVD will be owned by the video library created by the Festival and may be used for public non-commercial exhibition. The organization reserves the right to exhibit the shorts during the Festival in the places it deems appropriate.
    13.- The jury will make a selection of the short films presented in the Official Section. This selection of short films will be screened during the course of the Festival, and among them will be chosen the Best Short Film Official Selection Award.
    Also, among the Asturian short films presented, a selection will be made to project Asturian Shorts Day, and among them will be chosen the Best Asturian Short Film Award. If the jury considers it appropriate, it may include Asturian short films in the official section.
    To the award for the best interpretation will choose the actors or actresses who act in any of the short films selected.
    14.-Any of the prizes may be declared deserted.
    15.- The winners of the awards for the Best Short Film Official Selection and Best Interpretation will be invited the night of the awards ceremony to the lodging and breakfast in a hotel of the municipality. The winning author (s) must personally collect the prize or delegate to a component of their team. If not, they will lose the economic endowment.
    16.-The participation in this Festival supposes the acceptance of the bases, being the organization authorized to settle any eventuality not foreseen in them.
